On September 30, 15 leaders of impact start-ups who are members of the Mouvement Impact France were invited to theÉlysée Palace for a meeting with the President's advisors. Their mission: to make the voice of France's 1,400 impact start-ups heard, by outlining their concrete bottlenecks and identifying levers for action.
These 15 entrepreneurs are all winners of theImpact 40/120 index, which selects the most promising French impact start-ups, valuing both their economic performance and, above all, their social and environmental impact.

Three priority topics structured the discussions:
Measuring avoided costs puts a value on the social and environmental contribution of impact start-ups, by translating into euros the savings made by society thanks to their activity. It's time to recognize ecological and social innovation in the same way as technological innovation, in order to encourage the development of companies that generate avoided costs for society.
The winners also shared the consequences of regulatory instability and poor enforcement on their businesses. They called for greater stability to put an end to regulatory "stop and go", and greater enforcement to ensure the development of their businesses.
Finally, the Impact 40/120 prizewinners and the French President's advisors discussed future European issues concerning start-ups. At a time when the French position and consultation on the Circular Economy Act are underway, the prizewinners were able to share their priorities for this text, which is crucial for players in the circular economy.
