Manifesto

The social and ecological emergency calls on us to change our model in order to meet the needs of all, to do better with less. As entrepreneurs, we believe that the success of the ecological and social transition depends on a new type of business that develops while preserving the ecological and social capital of humanity.

For ten years, our movement has brought together a community of pioneers who have demonstrated that another model is possible and that companies can grow by respecting the 4 pillars:

Social Impact

by claiming a societal role in its core business, both internally for its employees and externally with inclusive services and products

Ecological impact

initiating a genuine transition in terms of eco-consumption and eco-driving, both within the company and with its stakeholders

Value sharing

with an ethical financial strategy, based on fair and transparent management methods (transparency of remuneration differentials, proportionate remuneration scale, value sharing with suppliers and employees)

Power sharing

by establishing a principle of ethical governance with transparency in decision-making, gender parity and hierarchy in decision-making bodies and the integration of the company in its territorial ecosystem

Every day, they prove that economic efficiency can be combined with social justice and ecological transition. Today, they have the responsibility to pass on their model so that any company can make a concrete commitment to this dynamic.

This is why the social and ecological impact entrepreneurs have chosen to unite all the companies and economic actors committed to the social and ecological transition under a new banner: the Impact France movement, the leading lobbying and business network of economic actors with a social and ecological impact.

The time has now come to move from the logic of pioneers to the norm.

Businesses must heed the call of youth for immediate change. They must take responsibility for their own future and that of the planet. The ability to attract young talent, to regain consumer confidence, to enter new markets, will depend on this.

The Impact France Movement has a dual entrepreneurial and political project, which it intends to include in a European and international perspective in order to contribute to a fairer, more united and more sustainable society.

Impact company

A company with a social and ecological impact means that 100% of its activity is dedicated to a mission of social and/or ecological utility

It integrates the 4 pillars at the heart of its model: Social Impact | Ecological Impact | Value Sharing | Power Sharing

Company with a mission

Companies in transition have adopted the status of Mission Company (or are in the process of adopting it in the year they join) or have obtained the B Corp label.

Definition of social utility

Undertakings shall be deemed to be socially useful within the meaning of this law if their corporate purpose meets at least one of the following three conditions:

- 1° Their objective is to provide, through their activity, support to people in vulnerable situations, either because of their economic or social situation, or because of their personal situation and particularly their state of health or their needs in terms of social or medico-social support. These people may be employees, users, clients, members or beneficiaries of this enterprise;

- 2° Their objective is to contribute to the fight against exclusion and health, social, economic and cultural inequalities, to education for citizenship, in particular through popular education, to the preservation and development of social ties or to the maintenance and strengthening of territorial cohesion;

- 3° They contribute to sustainable development in its economic, social, environmental and participatory dimensions, to energy transition or to international solidarity, provided that their activity is linked to one of the objectives mentioned in 1° and 2°.
