Universités de l'économie de demain in Marseille: with 800 entrepreneurs and managers gathered, the voice of the economy of tomorrow was heard throughout the regional and national economic fabric, including in La Provence, which dedicated a page to the Impact France Movement to specify our proposals for changing the rules of the game in the economy.

The reunion of the PACA community

Just before the opening plenary of the #UED2022, the members of the PACA community organised a lunch to finally meet in person after two years of virtual meetings. 60 entrepreneurs were present for a great convivial moment orchestrated by Chloé Béron and Nicolas Ponson, the two ambassadors of the Movement in PACA.

Opening of #UED2022: mobilising all businesses to write the economy of tomorrow

After this appetizer, it was in the plenary session that the leaders discussed the means to be implemented so that companies once again become solutions and transform the economy. The testimonies of the most committed companies of the Metropolis territory with Laurent Laïk (La Varappe) and Chloé Béron (Centre International des Arts en Mouvement - CIAM) highlighted the local impact entrepreneurs who plead for a new compass of the economy.

"Being an impact company is an alchemy that puts its social and ecological ambitions on the same level as an economic reality that feeds its mission and allows the project to be improved"
Laurent Laïk (La Varappe Group)

On the business in transition side, Nicolas Ponson (Redman) and Vincent Cavailles (Terres d'Oc) showed the 800 entrepreneurs present how a business could make a concrete commitment to the transition of their model.

"Every decision must be considered in terms of its impact and environmental impact"
Nicolas Ponson (Redman)

And to guide companies in this process, Caroline Neyron of the Impact France Movement has launched the Impact Score, the reference tool that allows companies to map their impact on the pillars of power sharing, value sharing, social impact and ecological impact. More than 750 companies have already revealed their Impact Score, so take action!

10 Masterclasses for action

At the Universités de l'Economie de Demain in Marseille, managers were also able to make concrete progress, in contact with the region's pioneers, thanks to 10 Masterclasses based on the Impact Score indicators.

From reducing one's ecological footprint with Arnaud Montebourg, to sharing value with one's stakeholders, two Masterclass sessions to target one's areas of progress and benefit from the keys to success, feedback and methods proposed by 60 pioneering entrepreneurs and experts.

At the Impact Fair, more than 30 solutions were present to enable companies to establish new business relationships in the region with impact players!

Ecological and social emergency: how to move towards impact?

To close this great day, a great debate co-organised with the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat was held on the following topic: ecological and social emergency: how can we move towards Impact? Corinne Lepage (former Minister for the Environment), Eva Sadoun, Julie Davico-Pahin (Vice-President of La French Tech Aix-Marseille) and Philippe Korcia (President of MEDEF Bouches du Rhône) offered a rich and fascinating debate.

A new contract between the State and companies, renewal of the economy's imagination, new economic compass, unicorns at Impact, obstacles to the transition of sectors and companies, all subjects were addressed and gave rise to lively and constructive exchanges which enabled everyone to agree: the urgency is there, and companies are in the front line to act and respond.

The economic ecosystem mobilised

From the tech ecosystem with the Aix-Marseille French Tech, to inclusion(Chantier Ecole PACA, UNEA, the Federation of Integration Companies), and committed entrepreneurs(Réseau Entreprendre Provence, France Active PACA, the Convention des entreprises pour le Climat), it is the entire economic fabric of Marseille and PACA that is mobilising at #UED2022!

This was an opportunity to unite new players around the proposals of the Manifesto for the Economy of Tomorrow , and in particular the Impact Index, which received new support, such as that of Julie Davico-Pahin of La French Tech.
